Hi Kendall,
Happy new year!!!
I really enjoyed the stay at Bahama Bay.
I invited my friend's family to trip to Florida. Orlando was the first visit
of our trip. The resort was very large, clean and well maintained.
Rooms were also very clean and comfortable. Staffs were very kind as well.
My friend's family also were very pleased with the resort.
I'm really satisfied with the stay at Bahama Bay.
The only minor problem was the location. Since I came to Orlando at night,
it was a little bit difficult for me to locate the resort. There were not
many sign for the resort.
I appreciate your kindness.
regards,
Yung

Hi Kendall,
Thanks for your follow-up email. We had a great time at Bahama Bay
over the Christmas break. The resort was clean, quiet, attractive
and well-located.
The staff was welcoming, friendly and competent,
and the apartment was clean and well-stocked.
We liked the
restaurants, the pools and the playground for the kids, as well as
the generously sized apartment rooms.
All in all we were very happy
with our stay, and think that Bahama Bay stands above most all of the
condo rentals we've done over the past several years in Florida.
Your booking service was prompt and professional as well. We'd be
happy to come back!
Thanks again,

We had a great time. We really enjoyed staying at Bahama Bay. We will be back in the future.
2 things you might want to look at.
1. there is a gap under the front door and we had a friend one morning (a small
bug) in the
foyer. ( Gary, thank you for pointing this out I will get it
rectified) 2. The carpet seemed to be a bit abused. stains)
(Gary again i will get it deep cleaned, we do have a major
spring clean programmed very soon)
I am sure that you have
a lot of guests throughout the year and they don't take care of it like they would their own house.
Both are minor concern. We arrived at night and were surprised to wake up to an orange grove in back yard.
It was quiet at night unlike most hotels so getting a good nights sleep was not a problem.
Thank you again for allowing us to stay in your condo. We have and will continue to tell our friends about Bahama Bay.

Gary,
We recently stayed at the resort and had booked through you. We really enjoyed
the resort and would recommend it to our friends.
It was very clean and well maintained.
One small feedback is that the staff at the reception (excluding Matt),
in particular one lady whose name we don't know was not very friendly
or
helpful. In fact we travel a lot and this was the first time where the
attitude was a "don't care" attitude. Just thought we should let you
know this.
( Gary,Sorry about this, I will forward this to my management company and try to
find the culprit, it is unusual as most of our feedback is positive regarding
the staff.)
Are you associated with any other similar condo resorts in Florida because we would be interested in the future.
Regards,
Sailesh and Bijal

Kendal,
What can I say. We had a fantastic time and our 2005 holiday at
Bahama Bay was very memorable.
As you know, we booked 4 separate apartments and were all delighted
with them. It was like being home from home. They were well
equipped, spotlessly clean and the location was excellent, close to
the parks but just far enough away.
The site itself was lovely from
the swimming pool and beach area to the club house and my only
suggestion would be to add a pool table.( Gary I will look into that)
Although we did not use the Trade Winds Restaurant for dinner, we ate
there a few times for lunch and the food was good if a little expensive.
Service was a little slow as there was only one person covering drinks
and food. Not a problem on cooler days but on the hot days another
pair of hands would have been good. (Gary more staff are
available when we are busy )
All the staff we dealt with were very efficient and pleasant, from the
Reception area to the cleaners. and I would have no hesitation in
recommending Bahama Bay.
Kind regards
Linda

Dear Kendall,
We had an awesome holiday staying at Bahama Bay resort. The property is well planned, spotlessly clean and very well maintained.
We stayed in the 3-bedroom Abacus apartment. The apartment was fabulous - spacious, very well furnished, and clean.
In all, I highly recommend Bahama Bay resort to Orlando visitors,
especially those travelling with kids. I am already planning to return
to Bahama Bay with friends and family in 2006.

Hi kendal
just like to say what a great time we had.
could not believe the size of the grand bahama villa and how beautiful it was.
the staff in the resort were extremely nice and they could not do enough for you especially Nikon who was great.
you could not wish to stay anywhere nicer than this resort 5 star we
could see the disney fireworks from are balcony which was nice after
along day out at the parks.
inside the villa everything you would need is there and the resort has plenty to offer.
once the main entrance goes straight onto the 192 this will improve the accessibility of the resort.
we cannot wait to return and hopefully this will be in the near future.

We were so impressed with Bahama bay.
The
apartment was large, very comfortable and packed with everything you
could possibly need.It was spotlessly clean and just such a pleaure to
come back to after a busy day of theme parks.
The resort itself was
well looked after, all the staff could not be more helpful and the
place just had a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
I have to say
it was the first holiday I have booked over the internet and I was a
bit nervous what I would find at the other end! I have to say it
surpassed all my expectations and was incredibly good value for
money.
I will recommend you whenever ever I can and if I ever find the
strength to do disney again!!! I would only go if I could stay at Bahama Bay.
Thankyou for our great holiday.

Small,
dull, overlooked and very overcrowded, thats the worst thing about
coming home, after staying in such a fantastic apartment. Before
booking Bahama Bay, we looked through piles of holiday brochures, and
looked at hundreds of hotels, villas and resorts on the internet,
nothing came close to the style, quality and space of Bahama Bay.
There was eight in our party, my husband and I, our four youngest aged
14/16/17/19, our 25 year old daughter and her husband.
It is very important to me that we have a family holiday every year,
and as many of our children as possible come with us (we only left
three at home). Even though we go together, usually we are split into
several small hotel rooms. We didn't have that problem at Bahama Bay
with our very, very large apartment.
We had more than enough space for everyone. The master bedroom with
ensuite was ideal for my daughter and son-in-law, it gave them total
privacy.
The staff at the resort were all very friendly, three of which stick in
my mind. Pat, security on the gate, always made us feel special with
his salute and thumbs up. Joe, waiter at the Tradewinds on our first
night, was
so friendly, always had a smile. Lastly we went to the shop on our
first afternoon to get essential supplies (teabags & milk). My
husband asked if we would like to go to the bar for a drink while we
were there, which we did, as soon as we sat down the barman brought an
ashtray to our table, my husband remarked about how quick we were given
an ashtray, as though I looked desperate to have a cigarette. I told my
husband that I hadn't brought my cigarettes with me as I thought we
were only going to the shop. The barman came back to our table with his
cigarettes and lighter and gave me one of his. I thought this was a
very kind gesture (Sorry to the non-smokers I know its a disgusting
habit).
I can't praise Bahama Bay enough, but there is nothing I can say or no
matter how many photos I have taken, will ever do the resort justice.
We don't usually holiday in the same place, but we are so impressed
with Bahama Bay that we have decided that we are definately going back.
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC.
Thanks Gary and Kendall.

Arrived home safe and sound yesterday and as promised I give some feedback
below. Tell Gary it was really nice to see him in the resort and pass
on mine and June's best wishes.
As you know we really love the place and
are already looking at going back next year for another 3 weeks, June
wants four
Just returned after 3 fantastic weeks at the Bahama Bay. We returned
again this year to this resort as quite simply it's the best.
Stayed in the
Andros two bed apartment and it was stunning and is probably bigger than my three
bed semi her in the UK.
The resort itself is exceptionally well maintained
and the view early morning over Lake Davenport just has to be seen.
The last of the building work is almost complete but it is well away from where
you stay so has no effect at all.
All I can now say is I cannot wait till next
time year when we will certainly return.

Kendall,
We had a great time staying at Bahama Bay.
The booking couldn't have been easier. Everything you said about this
complex was true. It was excellent, really well maintained and the staff were very helpful.
Four of us stayed in a two bedroom Andros apartment, which was really
clean and had everything you could want in a holiday home. If I
was to be really critical, the only negative points I could make are:
1. Its location... A car is a must. While it is close to Disney, it is
quite a drive to most other entertainment centres, i.e. Universal Studios,
International Drive, Kissimmee etc. ( Universal is 30
min away and we always suggest that a car is a must Gary )
2. There is still some building going on although it didn't seem to have
any negative impact on guests.( Gary, the building
work is in the last phase and is all finished apart from internals, this
will be all completed by Christmas and is very far away from the clubhouse
and beach)
Overall, the Bahama Bay is a great place stay and I would strongly recommend
it.

Jackie

I stayed at the bahama Bay resort in August this year. One word......PERFECTION.
Myself, partner, mother in law and 2 kids sayed in the 3 bed Grand Bahama
(penthouse!!!). The accomodation was superb. A huge double room with
walk in wardrobe,en suite and jacuzzi bath. Another double room with
another massive wardrobe and shared ensuite with the twin bedroom with
another huge wardrobe!!. How much wardrobe space do you need!!!
The living room was so spacious, dining area and furniture was
fantastic, huge kitchen and even bigger fridge, laundry room with washer
and dryer. This was heaven. The carpet was even perfect, After a day
walking around the parks,it was bliss to take off your shoes and walk
on the very soft fluffy carpet. (sad i know!!)
The whole complex was so beautiful,we were in block 18 room and this
over looked the huge lake. It was so beautiful to wake up in the
morning and see that every day. Hot air balloons often floating along
the lake, the early morning haze and the beautiful sunset. ( be
warned...there are alligators in there but no signs to say so!!!)
Pool area was always cleaned every morning, beach are was
lovely, jacuzzi's were quite hot but lovely once you get in. The staff
were very friendly and helpfull. The barman even went out his way to
make me a cocktail he hadnt heard of. The restaurant satff are
brilliant, they cant do enough for you. Even though the tips are
included in the bill we always gave extra.
The bar at the club house isnt as nice as the bar at the tradewinds restaurant but is ok.
The secrity guard at the entrance is always smiling and you get a salute or thumbs up every time you go past.
The Bahama Bay is a little out of the way but worth the drive.
As a travel agent i will sell this as much as i can....this is such a great place to stay and we will be going back in 2009.
i would rate this as a 5* plus. Its perfect.

Dear Kendall;
I just wanted to let you know how happy we were at your property last
July. I really meant to write to you as soon as we got back but our
family was still with us until the first week in August.
We truly loved the resort and it could not have been more comfortable.
The condition of the house was marvelous. There was nothing we needed
that you didn't have. Before we left for the airport, I tried to wash
all the sheets and towels but ran out of time. I think I needed to do
one more batch.
The only think that I would suggest could help other tourists is the
fact that the directions we were given were very confusing. I think
there is a more simple way of getting to the resort from the airport.
(Gary we are looking into a more direct route on our instructions)
My husband was the driver and quickly figured out a much easier way on
getting to all the attractions. I think the first night, we arrived so
late and then arriving during the night was difficult considering we
were unfamiliar with the area. I will ask my husband to write a set of
directions we think would work better to get to your place and I will
email them to you.
Thank you so much for everything. If we get back to that area again we will definitely we would book with you again.

Hi Kendall
We had a fantastic time at Bahama Bay and the apartment exceeded our
expectations completely. We have previously stayed in private villas
and the apartment was definitely in the same luxury league. Everything
was spotless and immaculate, it almost felt like we were the first
people to have stayed there! The welcome pack was much appreciated and
it saved a lot of hastle by not having to go straight out again to get
some basics.
On arrival we were given a pack of leaflets by the guy on the
gatehouse, one of which was a tourist map that showed Bahama Bay. This
was really helpful and would definately have been something we would
have appreciated in advance.(
Gary I will get a copy on my next visit and will send out with all future
reservation details)
When we got there II realised I had forgotten the battery charger for
my digital camera. I went and saw Glenn in the on-site photo shop and
he helped me order one on-line and arranged for it to be delivered to
his shop - all for no charge! - This was great service. We also
purchased our Disney tickets at Bahama Bay and found this to be a good
service.
We tried out all three pools, plus the children's pool and they were
all great - my 3 yr old daughter especially liked the beach area where
she could get covered in sand, then shower off and jump in the big pool.
The only down side was the fire alarm going off for about 5 seconds at
4am one morning - however mentioning it at reception the next day it
had happened right across the complex so we didn't feel too picked on!!
When we left Bahama Bay to go to our next apartment in St Pete's Beach
we wished we'd just booked the whole two weeks in Orlando - never mind
there's always next time!!!

Our apartment was spotlessly clean and the welcome pack which was
delivered to us within an hour of arriving was very much appreciated
and I thought it was a great way of making us feel very welcome.
This
was our 10th visit to Florida but the first without any of the family

that we are already talking about returning next year and we will
definitely stay at Bahama Bay.

Dear Gary and Kendall
We had a lovely holiday at Bahama Bay. Thank you for dealing so
efficently with our booking. Everything went off without a hitch. The
directions you gave were fine but maybe best to say that you stay on
the 192 for a few miles before seeing the sign for Haines City as the
current wording hints that you come across this sign quite soon.
We were absolutely delighted with our accommodation and found it very
spacious, well-furnished and exceptionally clean. It had every facility
we could wish for (the only suggestion I would make is that a plug-in
kettle would be better than the heat-on-the hob version but this is
really a very minor point!) The resort itself was a really peaceful
haven away from the busy parks and shopping malls. We particularly
liked the little beach by the pool and lake and felt that it was great
to chill out there.
We would love to go back some day and have no hesitation in
recommending Bahama Bay to everyone. All age groups seemed to be having
fun there and enjoying the Florida sunshine!

Dear Kendall and Gary,
Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay in your Andros
condo. The resort is so well landscaped with all the amenities you
could ask for.
The decor in the apartment was superb with all the comforts of home.
The whole booking process was so easy on the web and the staff in the
clubhouse were very helpful.
We took the Toll 417 to I4 to I27 route from Sanford (approx. 1.5
hours) and found the resort easily. The Walmart and Publix supermarkets
are just around the corner and the restaurant on site proved useful
after a long day at the parks.
We particularly liked the idea of our own apartment with it's privacy
but the security of the Staff in the clubhouse, should we need them.
All in all, I couldn't fault the Bahama Bay. This was our first stay in
the resort and without doubt, the best when visiting Florida. I've
recommended your condo to friends and work colleagues and are now in
the process of booking for next year.

Kendall and Gary,
We enjoyed our stay at Bahama Bay very much. I especially enjoyed the
fact that, at least for now, it's away from the busier traffic areas
and it was easy to make a quick trip to the grocery store or to do a
little shopping.
As for the resort, check-in was quick and easy. The front desk
personnel were professional and helpful in explaining procedures. The
resort itself is a relaxing environment. The pools and entertainment
areas were clean and neat. Our room was clean and prepared nicely when
we arrived. The majority of everything we needed to prepare the meals
we had in was present.
The website was helpful in preparing us for our visit. I printed
out much of the info before our trip and used it to get us started with
the vacation when we arrived. It was a good representation of what we
found.
Overall, I was very pleased and would not hesitate to contact you again if we were to stay in the area again.

Dear Kendal,
just a line to say how wonderful Bahama Bay Resort was! It was clean,
spacious and luxurious. We were unfortunate to be in Florida when it
was the wettest June since 1968 but the fact that we could retreat to
the tranquility of B. B. meant that our holiday wasn't marred so much.
The staff were very helpful and the pools were clean and had plenty of
beds and tables and chairs. The appartments had everything you could
need, with a TV in each bedroom, and the ice dispenser fridge made it
all the more "American"! There were loads of Satellite TV channels -
something we'd been worried about - and the Disney Parks were really,
really close.
In fact, my sister was staying in the International
Drive area at the same time and it was like visiting "Concrete City"
when we went to her appartment. The view was of other similar
appartments or hotels, the atmosphere was impersonal and they didn't
have as many satellitle channels as we did. At B. B. it was tranquil,
green and had that well manicured look which was a pleasant contrast
from the hectic hours at the parks. B.B. also had a very friendly
atmosphere and it was possible to enjoy the company of the other
residents if you chose to spend the day at the resort instead of a
theme park.
We would definately stay in one of your appartments
again and can confidently advise anybody to do the same. The first day
"welcome call" from you was nice too as it made us feel somebody out
there cared!
Thanks again for a great stay at B. B.

to
Disney - spot on. Having Our family of four stayed at Bahama Bay for
two weeks early July 2005 and it really was a fantastic place to stay.
Would absolutely recommend it -lovely, lovely accommodation.
This was our first trip to Florida and we were going to opt for a hotel
on International Drive. Forget it!! Why get stuck in one bedroom for 2
weeks when you can have a family size house to roll around in. You'll
definately appreciate the space and privacy if you are travelling as a
family. We were in a beautiful "Andros" apartment at Bahama Bay. Two
gorgeous bedrooms with their own bathrooms - ours had a huge walk in
shower, double sink, jacuzzi-size bath. The kitchen was immaculate - I
don't think anything had ever been used in it - or maybe thats just the
upkeep of the place. Both bedrooms had televisions with satellite. And
for the mummys out there - the laundry room just off the kitchen with
washing machine and tumble dryer meant I didn't return home with two
weeks worth of washing.
The living room was very comfortable with a pull out bed that our two
kids opted to sleep on so they could crash in front of the TV, DVD,
Hi-Fi. We're not talking Costa Brava pull out bed here - we are talking
very, very comfortable double-bed. I know some people may think the
staff rude perhaps but we had no experience of this at all - we didn't
really see them that much because we were out and about each day - one
persons intrusiveness is another persons friendly - right?? If you need
something they'll help you out. They were as friendly as any
restaurant/bar staff in the UK. One thing that was really helpful was
we were escorted to our condo on arrival by a lovely man called Nixon.
He showed us maps of the local area, told us about the resort, shopping
nearby, etc. Very nice man and very helpful especiallly for us
first-timers. The security guy is a laugh - thumbs up every time you
pass. Drawbacks??? None really just be careful - we had a ground floor
condo - you could get a 2nd or 3rd floor one and I wouldn't fancy a
hike up the high stairs after running round the theme parks all day.
And don't be put off by the drive down the 192 to the resort - you
might think oh no we're out in the sticks but you really, really aren't
at all. Five mins and you are in the thick of shops and restaurants and
really only 15mins somewhere lovely and quiet to return to after a busy
day or even just to have a day off relaxing it perfect. The swimming
pools and whirlpools stay open to after 10pm - the water was nice &
warm. Poolside bar means you can have a little nightcap while the kids
relax. Also - check out the deck and the man-made beach at the lake
edge behind the Tradewinds restaurant on the site - its really pretty
and peaceful.
One final thing - the signpost of Bahama Bay is teeny-tiny (don't know
why) but just look out for the Davenport Estates sign and you know to
turn down this exit for Bahama Bay. Thats it - hope you enjoy your
holiday

Hi
This is just to say that Bahama Bay is so easy to find.
Travel West on the Interstate 4, Turn right at 64B onto the US192
heading west, left onto the US27 heading south and its about 5mins
drive along on the right hand side. The road you need it Florence Villa
Grove Road and the estate its on (this you will see from the US27) is
marked Lake Davenport Estates.
You really cant miss it so ignore the feedback on this site about the
place being hard to find. We travelled from Sanford Airport and it took
about 1 hour 20mins.
Bahama Bay itself is superb. We stayed in a 2 bedroomed 2 bathroomed
condo. It was huge. Its a great resort, friendly helpful staff and the
restraunt Tradewinds was lovely. The waitresses there took a shine to
our little girl who had just turned one and they certainly took the
stress out of eating out with a little one. Thank you, especially to
Ludmilla.(see feedback below
to offset Gary)
Bahama Bay is a really good base for seeing Florida. 25 mins to Disney,
1.5 hours to Daytona Beach and the same to Clearwater. Highway 192 has
all the restraunts that International Drive has and the start of it s
only 5 mins away.
Thank you Bahama Bay for a lovely holiday, if we had the money we would
buy one of the apartments that are currently being built. We loved it
and hope to return in a couple of years.
Thank you,

Hi,
Feedback on the apartment and resort.
The resort was fantastic in terms of the high quality etc, and the apartment
was great as well. Pity the 3rd bedroom had no tv, that was murder for me
having been consigned to it as the only single guy in a party of 5 ( 2 older
married couples) plus me. (The Gran Bahama unit has 3 TV units
I would have thought that would have been ok while on holiday Gary)
The tradewinds was a surprise, the first visit the food was great, the second
visit was even better, but our 3rd visit was a bad experience, slow service
and the food was cold and under cooked. We got it sorted with the Manager at
the time but it certainly meant we did not choose to dine there again.
(This seems to be a problem I need to sort out, we either get great reviews,
see above, or bad, can only be down to staff on certain nights, will
investigate with the General Manager Gary)
One last negative was the absurd closing time at the pool at the Main
Clubhouse, to make everyone head for the pool at the tradewinds so close to
the lake and all the mosquitoes is something that should be looked at.
(this is the first time I have heard of this, maybe this is so that
they only have to man one bar, it would not make a lot of difference with
the mosquitoes if you were at the restaurant pool or the clubhouse one, they do fly around, this is a problem in all of
Florida and at certain times of the year are worse than others but
The Resort has got a very good prevention program, spraying and sonic
scarers which seems to keep the
numbers down Gary)
Other than that we have been signing the apartment and the resorts praises to
all and sundry since our return on Saturday 2nd July.

Hi Kendall,
Sorry for the late response. To say that we were pleasantly surprised
when we arrived at Bahama Bay Resort would truly be an understatement.
The place that we stayed at was very clean, spacious and bright. From
the three swimming pools to the two bars, resturant, and beach it really
is a resort experience.
As for the few negative things I heard about finding the resort and
location I found it quite easy to find and the fact that it was off the
main road I thought that was good in the fact that the traffic was
bearable. In finishing I can say for a fact that on our next trip to
Orlando, we will definetly be giving you a call.

What
a great place! The apartments were clean, spacious and well equipped.
The staff were wonderful and the restaurant and bars were great. We
came to Florida planning to do lots, but the Bahama Bay was so laid
back we found it difficult to drag ourselves away most days as it was
such a chilled place to stay. Never mind, there is alwasy next time,
and as I brought a condo at Bahama Bay there will e lots of those.

Hi Kendall\Gary
Ok feedback time.
The Booking €“ I had made enquiries with travel agents about a booking
at the Bahama Bay but it seemed a bit to expensive on the agents price
per person and so I looked at the Bahama Bay Website and decided to
book with an owner. I submitted the enquiry and literally minutes later
received a phone call from Gary with all the details. This was followed
up with relevant emails about the apartment. The booking was made
smoothly and with no problems whatsoever. So that€™s got to be 10\10 !
Travel €“ If your going to put a trip together yourself I€™d
recommend Travel City Direct for a fly\drive. Good seat pitch €“
enough leg room for me at just over 6 ft tall and complimentary drinks
throughout the flight
The Apartment €“ All I can say about this is that it was superb! We
chose to stay in a Grand Bahama €“ 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms sitting area
full kitchen utility room. More than enough room for our party of 6
adults (if you can call my kids and their partners adults €“ I
sometimes wonder)
The apartment was spotlessly clean and in a great location overlooking
the lake and woodland. Everyone on the site was friendly and I
wouldn€™t hesitate to go back to the resort. I really can€™t fault
the place another 10\10 for me.
Location €“ The location is excellent with numerous restaurants nearby
and just a short drive to all the Disney parks and shopping areas.
Top Tip €“ This is my top tip taking into account the vast size of the
road networks in this area and the fact that I have the navigation
skills of an amoeba. Upgrade to Sat Nav on your hire car. You may think
these things are gimmicky but once you€™ve taken a wrong turn in
America you€™ll soon see the benefit of these devices. Worth every
penny imho.
We had a fantastic holiday and would thoroughly recommend both the
Bahama Bay Resort and the service offered by Gary and Kendall.
Thanks very much!

Hello Kendall/Gary
Just a line to give you some feedback on our recent holiday. As you
know, we went with our son Matt, wife Tracy and their two children Lucy
and Ben (8 and 5 years old. The Grand Bahama (1416) apartment was ideal
for us and so very spacious. We all loved the decor, the amenities and
the balconies which were big enough to sit out on (and listen to the
frogs in the lake at night!!!).
We found the Resort OK but definitely think the Beeline
Highway and then down on Highway 4 to the 27 is a more direct route and
it is possible to do that in 30 mins. It would be far easier as well
for guests arriving on a night flight. (we will update our directions, Gary) We
found the Resort very convenient to get to all the Theme Parks and it
was lovely to get away from the hustle and bustle of Orlando and return
to the peace of the Resort with its lovely beach and lakeside setting.
We enjoyed our meals at The Tradewinds restaurant and found the service
good. (see emails below about service to equal out, Gary)
Unfortunately, we were disappointed not to have a Welcome Pack on
arrival but although you said you ordered it, the front desk said they
had no record of it. Never mind! (this was a mistake at the resort and was our first one missed Gary)
Everything else in the Apartment exceeded expectations - we thought the
finish was superb and it was good to have our own washing machine and
drier (but would add that it may be a good idea to tell guests it is
not necessary to wash sheets and towels towards end of vacation - as we
did! ) Must say it was lovely to have plenty of good quality, good size
towels - so often it is an item that is skimped on and it is a low cost
item so is a silly mistake.)
The pools and jacuzzies were all cleaned daily and well
maintained. As we were leaving the children's paddling pool was really
taking shape and all the paving around and shrubs/trees were planted.
All that was left to do was to tile the inside of the pool and fill it
with water. Also had climbing frames nearby and I think it will prove
to be a very popular area.
The restaurants that we found to be extremely good value and
comfortable were The Olive Grove, Key W Kools, Angus Steak House and,
of course, The Sizzler.
We had an evening flight on the leaving day so we were able
to pay $40 to extend the use of the room until 3pm which was helpful.
All in all - a most enjoyable stay and it was better than
being in a private villa because the grandchildren had other children
to play with when we spent a day at the Resort. When we return to
Orlando we will definitely return to Bahama Bay - thank you!
Best regards Kate and Tony Green (West Sussex)

What can I say, fabulous resort and accommodation, will be sure to highly recommend it and yourselves.
The resort itself was clean, beautifully laid out and well kept, the on-site staff were all helpful and very polite.
Accommodation was lovely. Couldn't fault it at all, its the first time
I've returned from holiday with no washing ...... which sounds 'sad'
but it made a big difference having the laundry room! Everything was
there that you needed to make the holiday run smoothly.
The only thing that spoilt it was the morning we we were packing
to leave we have 2 or 3 people knocking on the door around 9am asking
if we were going. 10am is quite early to check out anyway and when you
have a 3 year old to sort out too, the last thing you need is to be
badgered to leave the apartment.(
9 am is very early and I will discuss this with the management, it could be
that they had a large amount of checkouts on that day and needed to get a
lot cleaned in a short amount of time ,but you can request a late checkout
to 11am at no cost or a late one as above for an extra cost, Gary) However, on the whole the holiday was fabulous and I would highly recommend it (you that is).
Thanks once again.
Kind regards
Emma

Hi, Kendall!
Just returned from our trip to Bahama Bay and wanted to fulfill your request to give you a report on the accomodations.
First of all, thanks for being responsible and trustworthy. It is
gratifying doing business with people with your work ethic. We were
welcomed warmly, Our apartment was decorated nicely, it was clean, and
it was well equipped. I think the resort itself could stand to be
landscaped a little better, (Lots of our guests think the resort is beautifully landscaped, Gary)
but when you go to Orlando to visit the theme parks, you don't really hang around the resort too much.
The only problem we had was that when we arrived in Orlando we went to
the 3050 Michigan Avenue Kissemme address thinking we had to go there
to register and pick up the key. That was a large waste of time and we
were very upset- with ourselves, not you. Upon reading the Welcome Pack
you sent us more thoroughly, we realized you had given us the address
we needed to go to. I just had it in my mind that that was where we
were staying, but that we had to pick up the key at the 3050 Michigan
Ave.address. So, this was really the only problem we had and we created
the problem for ourselves. Totally our mistake.
(always look at the paperwork we send! all our guests pick up the keys at
the Resort.Gary)
Anyway, we didn't let that keep us from having a great time. Thanks again.

Kendall,
We hand a brilliant holiday in Florida!
<The accommodation, booking process and resort were 'First Class'
with easy access to the major attractions, shops and restaurants. The
apartment was equipped with everything we needed for an enjoyable
holiday. The essential shopping items left for us was very much
appreciated after a long flight.
The only minor negative point I can make. Is noise from the AC units
outside the bedrooms (No double glazing). Which may effect light
sleepers.
(This is only on the ground floor Andros units and is my first complaint but I
will see what we can do, they have been landscaped with shrubs to help, and as
they get bigger will help to reduce the noise Gary )
However, I can not recommend the Trade Winds restaurant. The food
and service was very average and expensive. They also included a 15%
service charge automatically.(
see email above, as some people love the restaurant, I will publish the menu on
my site soon to let people see the prices, they seem competitive to me.
Gary)
I will stay at the Bahama Bay on my next visit to Florida.

Hi Kendall
We have recently returned from Bahama Bay and I must say I was very pleased
with our choice to stay there.
I found the accomodation to be of an excellent standard, spacious, well
equiped, clean & well maintained. We had a couple of minor things with the
apartment , a loose door handle for example, but these were attended to very
quickly by the staff on site.
The building work on the site was a little noisy and, if we had been
spending all day by the pool then we might of been a bit disappointed, but
all in all it did not detract from the holiday.(90% of the
building work has been completed and is nowhere near the pools or beach,
Gary)
The staff were generally pretty helpful particularly the guy in the
clubhouse bar area although the people in the information area did not seem
particularly knowledgable about local restaurants to recommend etc.
We ate at the onsite restaurant only once whilst we were there and the food
was ok but not 5 star standard. I was a bit disturbed when the waitress was
trying to serve my wife dessert from their selection while I was still
eating my main course. They did not really seem to care whether we were all
on the same stage of the meal and wanted to rush us along although it was
not particularly busy. (I will speak to the restaurant
manager to discuss this soon, Gary)
The pools were clean and well maintained and seemed pretty safe for the
kids, who enjoyed them thoroughly.
My 8 year old son who found the saluting security guard on the gate very
entertaining although I was a bit surprised to find that the security seemed
to stop at around 11 and if we returned to the complex after this time the
barriers wer open and no guard to be seen. (the guard will
leave the barrier open while he does his rounds, Gary)
These are only minor niggles and my family & I thoroughly enjoyed our time
at Bahama Bay and found it a good base for the usual Disney attractions. I
would certainly have no hesitation in recommending Bahama Bay to any family
wishing to visit the Orlando area.

Our stay at Bahama Bay was fantastic the Apartment was very nice
spotlessly clean, we were able to choose the position of the apartment
by looking on your web site which enabled us to be where right where we
wanted, Our apartment was right by the pool which ment our sons had the
freedom to go off to the pool when ever they liked without being too
far away, we were also close to the Trade winds restaurant which we
used frequently after a hard day at the parks this also ment we did not
need to get back in the car. Bahama Bay was quite and beautifully
presented. There were lots of other families there so the the children
made lots of new friends. we will definitely be back for another visit.

Thought the restaurant facilities for the size of the resort were a bit

Thoroughly enjoyable and would return without hesitation. Thank you

Dear Gary/Kendall
Booking direct with you was easy.Thank you for your welcome pack prior to our departure. We found the information useful.
You never know what to expect when you book direct however Bahama-Bay Resort was everything we hoped for.
My wife, son and I booked a two bedroom Andros which was excellent -
clean, spacious and very well equipped. It was a real home form home.
Our son especially like having his own room,TV and bathroom. The
screened terrace meant we could enjoy a drink outside without being
bitten. The welcome food pack was very much appreciated as we arrived
in the evening.
We liked the fact that it was easy to get to both Disney and Universal
theme parks from the 192 or I4, but when you did not want to visit a
park the resort was an ideal setting for relaxing. It was peaceful,
very clean and the grounds were lovely and well kept. There were three
pools and plenty of sun beds. The views from the pool beside the lake
were lovely. We however used the pool nearest our condo.
My son is a powerlifter so he made good use of the gym.
We ate in the restaurant the second night and the food was very good. The staff were efficient and friendly.
In fact all the staff we came into contact with, from the clubhouse to
the security person at the gate house, were friendly and helpful.
(see email below Gary )
There were supermarkets near by and a variety of eating places on the
192. All in all we had a wonderful holiday in a great location. We will
certainly have no hesitation in recommending Bahama-Bay to friends and
family. It was so much better than staying in a hotel as we did on our
previous visit to Florida. We will definitely return.

Hi Kendall,
We had a wonderful time at Bahama Bay! Your company did a fabulous job with
the booking as well as providing us with an excellent condo. It was really
nice and we had more than enough room for six people. We appreciated the
small details that were provided like coffee/tea packets, dish soap, bin
liners etc. The beds and linens were wonderful too!
The location was nice
because it was quiet and peaceful and away from the theme park crowds. The
grounds were beautiful and everything was very well maintained. Your
directions were perfect
The only thing I was disappointed with was some of the front desk staff.
Some of them weren't very friendly and I felt like we were imposing when
asking questions. On the day we checked out, there were more than six or
seven people waiting in line at the front desk with only one person working.
There were several other people behind the desk just visiting so several
people were a little upset.Gary ( see email above to equal
out, we don't normally have a problem but must of been a very busy day and I
will look into it )
Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and I have told everyone how
nice it was. I will definitely book through your company again. I
appreciate all your help and professionalism!
Thank you,

What a wonderful vacation we had!! We have done nothing but rave about
the Bahama Resort since we returned. Arriving at midnight, we were not
sure what to expect. What a delight to find security and registration
both available and willing to assist us in any manner. The condo was
absolutely beautiful and spacious! With four children it afforded us
all the opportunity to move around and have our own space when we
needed it. Imagine our surprise when we opened the refrigerator and
found that it had been stocked with staples for the next day. What a
wonderful treat to not have to run out early in the morning for juice,
milk, cereal, etc. The pool and beach areas were wonderful. Never too
crowded. Everyone was very friendly. The location was also great. Off
the beaten path so you really feel you are in a tropical paradise, but
close to stores and all of the major attractions. We will be back
again. Thanks for a great stay! Jim and Patti O'Mara

After staying at Bahama bay for 16 days, we would recommend the place to anyone.
When we walked in we could not have imagined how great it was. It was
home from home with all the added €œwow factor€ feelings you would
get from a 5 star hotel and resort.
Everything that Gary had promised was there. The whole complex was
clean, tidy and well looked after at all times. The staff were friendly
and helpful. The kids loved the place, especially the enormous bathroom
and 100 television stations.
Jane
loved the washing machine and tumble dryer and the fact that we came
home with almost all clean clothes. (No piles of washing to do when you
get home)
Bahama Bay is in an ideal location for Disney. On a good day, if the
traffic is flowing, you are on the Disney roads within 15 minutes of
leaving Bahama bay and all the parks are easy to get to from there.
We only used the swimming pool by the restaurant but would say that it
was always warm and clean, even when it was raining.
Make sure you read all the bits that Gary sends you as things like
short cuts to Disney are a must to know.
The first thing we did when we got home was to book it for next year. That should tell you how much we enjoyed our holiday.

wonderful. The booking arrangements via the internet with Gary were dealt
with
on a very professional and informative way.The directions to the resort were
very accurate apart from the final signpost to the Bahama Bay which is
easily
missed in the evening. The distance and times to the attractions and airport
were also good although time needs to be added for heavy traffic.A member of
the reception staff showed us to and around our penthouse apartment which
was
absolutely stunning with luxury furnishings and every appliance and utensil
you needed. The view over the orange groves was very peaceful and secluded
with
no noise at all.The wrap around balcony with private access from all rooms
was
superb. The restaurant/bars and swimming pools were to a very high standard
with views overlooking the lake. The beach area which had luxury sun loungers
with canopies was stunning and the heated swimming pool and hot tubs were
very
warm. All staff within the resort were extremely pleasant and helpful at all
times. There was also easy access to both Publix and Walmart an approximate
ten
minute drive at the most.I hope we have the pleasure of spending another
vacation at this five star resort which I am sure as it grows can only get
bigger and better.

Hi
As promised, here's some feedback from us - we really did have a great
time.
We rented 2 x Andros apartments for 2 x families of 4, for 10 days. The
standard of accommodation was excellent - clean, spacious, with a
modern decor and extremely well equipped. The welcome pack was
particularly appreciated arriving at 10.30 in the evening after a day's
travelling with small children
- what a nice touch!
We felt that Bahama Bay was a good base to visit not only Walt Disney
World and the Universal parks but also the many other attractions that
Orlando
has. The apartments were definitely full of home comforts - a nice
touch
when you come back from a long day in one of the theme parks. We would,
without doubt, consider staying at Bahama Bay again when we revisit in
a couple of years' time - I only hope that the standards are
maintained.
My only regret, or sadness, is that because our time in Orlando was so
busy (perhaps we should have gone for the fortnight and not the ten
days) we were not able to make full use of the facilities at Bahama
Bay, ie the swimming pool, fishing facilities, paddle boats, beach,
gym, kids' cinema, etc. One small complaint - the running machine was
out of order on the 2 x occasions I did find time to visit the gym. The
tennis court was nearly finished and this will, I am sure, become a
well used additional facility.
All in all it was a very enjoyable holiday - and we would all
thoroughly recommend Bahama Bay to any-one visiting Orlando. Gary was
particularly helpful in providing me with information before booking -
and keeping us informed along the way.
Hope this is useful - if you need anything else then let me know. I
don't know if you keep a 'mailing list' as such, but we would be keen
to receive any future mailings / e-mails from you about Bahama Bay
(special offers / new facilities added, etc, etc) as and when they come
up.
Thanks again for your help - much appreciated.

Dear Kendall and Gary, We had a wonderful time at Bahama Bay,
during our April vacation 2005. Our condo was very spacious. My husband
and I were there alone and our children had planned on camping with
their grandparents. Once they saw how much room we had, we had to
encourage them to stay with their grandparents. We also liked the
options of different pools. While we were there, we kept thinking how
much our children would have enjoyed the pool with the beach, as well
as the clubhouse pool. It's obviously family oriented, yet without our
children, we easily enjoyed some alone time. I had a wonderful massage.
She worked hard at getting rid of the tension in my shoulders and back,
and I felt very relaxed when I left. Although we went out to dinner a
couple times, we also enjoy cooking, With the grocery store so close,
and appropriately stocked kitchen, we had some nice dinners sitting in
the screened in porch, and didn't have to go out for every meal. Our
vacation goal was to do nothing, but recharge our batteries. We have
very busy lives and needed R&R. However, we worked out in your gym,
sunbathed by the pool, went to the movies, went to dinner and Downtown
Disney. This is a perfect place to do anything and nothing, which ever
you prefer. Booking was easy and accurately represented the
accommodations. We have already recommended it to our friends.
Thanks again for everything, Jacqui and Michael

Hi there, We had a fantastic holiday, thanks for asking. Feedback
for the site:- We had a 3 bedroomed apartment overlooking the lake
which was very spacious and comfortable, and spotlessly clean when we
arrived. We very much appreciated the welcome pack of food after lots
of hassle at the airport with the hire car! The apartments have
everything you need and are a real home from home. The resort is
beautiful, probably one of the best in the area. The pool areas were
always clean and we never had a problem getting a sunbed, even later in
the day. The Publix supermarket is only 5 mins away and has everything
you need, and there are plenty of restaurants on the 192 not far away.
There are also Domino's and chinese takeaways nearby who deliver to
your door. Probably my only negative comment regarding the resort is
that the service in the restaurant is very slow, we ate there the
second night and never went back again for dinner. I don't think they
have enough staff. It's a shame because the food was good and they
sometimes have entertainment as well.
We did eat lunch a couple of times in the restaurant and the service
was a bit better, and the food great and plenty of it. All in all we
were extremely happy with the resort and would definitely stay there
again if it wasn't for the fact that we loved Florida so much that we
are in the process of buying

we had a great holiday in Florida, we think it's
the best place on earth for a holiday as there's so much to do - and
although we can get by with French and Spanish - it is easier when the
language is the same. The shopping is just fantastic! On piece of vital
infomation we did not have was the full postal address. We had hassle
with our visa-waiver form with the Customs officials on tring to enter
the country because the only address I had was Bahama Bay Resort,
Orlando, Florida. They eventually let us through as we showed them all
the info I had printed, with the maps, as I promised I would report
back to you that this information must be provided to all your guests.
They need to put a zip code on the visa-waiver form."On
all the welcome packs we send out the full address of the apartment
and resort including the zip code are included , maybe this guest
just overlooked this on the paperwork
I dealt with the booking - I was very
pleased with the service, it could'nt have been easier. So much
better than dealing with Travel Agents. Being able to look at your
website was also excellent - nothing is hidden.
The apartment was very nice, the bathrooms were
huge, the beds were comfortable. The welcome pack was an extra we
did'nt expect - and was welcomed - we had breakfast on the first
morning without having to go shopping. The bars of soap were
appreciated too. We also used the telephone many times and meeting
up with my father-in-law would not have been possible if the phone
number for the apartment had not been supplied beforehand. He lives
in Tarpon Springs and has no telephone, we bought him a mobile but
he broke it!

Gary,
Just returned from our vacation 3 days ago and wanted to let you know
we had a wonderful time. The condo was comfortable, spacious and
immaculate. We did quite a bit of cooking there and the only thing I
could suggest is the purchase of a non-stick saute pan. " I have put these in before but they have been
stolen, so I just have the standard pots and pans, sorry Gary "That
would have been very helpful.
We had a lovely massage at the spa which I would recommend very much,
as well as taking advantage of buying park tickets at the resort, as it
saved us time.
Unfortunately the weather left a little to be desired, but the resort
was lovely and overall we had a very nice time. I enjoyed the fact that
the resort was private and out of the way, it felt like our little
oasis away from the heavy traffic on 192.
When returning to the Orlando/Kissimmee area we will definately stay at
the Bahama Bay again.
Thanks so much!

Just
returned from our holiday at the Bahama Bay Resort in Florida and it
was the perfect place to be. I am quite proud of myself for finding
this oasis in what can be a very hectic and draining experience, the
family vacation. We not only took the family but also girlfriends and
grandchildren. We had thought about renting a home but decided we loved
our family too much to be that close ,if you know what I mean. So we
rented two condos next to one another. Needless to say it was the
greatest trip we have taken to date. Everything is within arms reach,
pool, food , relaxation! It is a beautiful, clean and caring resort that
is close to grocery stores, Walmart, and restaurants all less then 2 or
3 miles in either direction and a easy drive to Disney, Sea world,
Discovery Cove, Universal etc... Thank you for a time that everyone
will remember with a smile and see you next year. Teresa

We
had a wonderful time at Bahama Bay...we were speachless as we drove
onsite. The club-house is spectacular and our kids felt they could live
in our Condo forever. The pool was perfect and the restuarant food was
delicious for adults and kids. All staff were wonderfully helpful, kind
and pleasant to deal with. We enjoyed it so much we can hardly wait to
re-book for next year...hopefully for two weeks instead of just one.
Thanks for everything,

Gary,
First I want to tell you that the condo was absolutely great. The price
was not much more than a small hotel room, but provided me all of the
accomodations of home. When I first arrived at the condo, I was
pleasantly surprised at how roomy it was. The multiple televisions and
multiple rooms made it easy for my wife and I to have a great time and
not have to worry about our son keeping us up (or us keeping him up).
Multiple bathrooms & showers made it easy to get the family going
in the morning. The place looked spotless and even the cooking items
(pots, pans) were amazingly clean. The netted in balconies allowed us
to enjoy a cocktale in the cool evening without bug being a problem. I
would strongly recommend this for a large family or 2 small families
looking to vacation for a few days in the Disney area.
My only complaint is minor. The pool by the room was not heated (the
heater was broken). While this made a great place to soak my sore
ankle, the temperature was not ideal for swimming in March. Because
there are several pools on the property, we made due with another pool.
I saw in the reviews that someone else commented on this, but the
property management has not rectified it yet. The only other suggestion
I could make for the property/ condo is maybe to add a pizza pan to the
list of cooking items.
Now, for those who are thinking about using your condo, I would like to
add some nice features: First, the proximity to Disney World is great.
I measured the trip in busy traffic and it took me 17 minutes to go
from the condo to the base of Disney World (Route 192 & the Parkway
to Disney). In morning traffic, it took only 10 minutes. We literally
left the condo at 8:25 and we were in the park by 9:00 (including
parking & walking). The best part is you can go to Disney without
going on Interstate 4. If you have ever driven I 4 in Orlando, you know
what a parking lot it can be. For those who want to enjoy Spring
Training, the proximity to various sites (Winterhaven, Lakeland, etc)
is a matter of a quick drive down US 27 and a short trip on I - 4.
Overall, Gary, we had a great time and plan on staying there again next
March (if not Novemeber - trip pending). I will keep you posted on
dates.

and Gary---We had a wonderful time at Bahama Bay. Unit 11306 was more
than we thought it would be. The staff was helpful and courteous at all
times. We'd like to thank you for accommodating our wish to stay
longer. We would certainly stay with you again. Looking forward to
seeing the new entrance off SR192.
PS---Any way of updating the cyber cafe? While there it had only 1
working computer most of the time and for 2 weeks there were no
internet cards to be purchased. I finally figured out I could drive 5
min. to the public library on 192 just off 27 (Publix Mkt) and use
theirs for an hour for free. Future guests might like to know this.
Thanks again for everything

Kendall/Gary-
Thanks for asking for feedback. We had a wonderful time at the resort.
The two bedroom was very spacious and comfortable for 4 adults and a
baby. The facilities at the resort were great. We had lunches and
dinner at the restaurant and spent one full day at the spa. The pools
were heated and had a great atmosphere, we even tried fishing on the
dock! The resort definitely has a lot to offer, it's a shame that most
people have not heard of it in the Orlando area - so maybe more
advertising! The only suggestions I have was that we arrived late at
night and since there are no visible signs on 27, it would help if the
directions you sent, had mile markers so we can look for the road to
turn on. We drove quite a bit before realizing, we must have passed it.
The other thing was it would be great if you had a few menus in the
apartment of the places that are nearby and/or can order delivery from
as the front desk was not very helpful, in general. Same for the golf
courses in the area, although we found them on our own, eventually.
Other than that, everything was fantastic and I would definitely return
to Bahama Bay the next time I am in the area. Thank you so much!

Dear
Gary and Kendall,
Thank you so much for your prompt, courteous, and help with our
reservations
for Bahama Bay in March 05. We had a fantastic time and when we return
we will ONLY stay at Bahama Bay. It was so beautiful - much nicer than
we expected. We are so happy with the service and the accommodations we
are not sure were to begin! The rooms were gorgeous and super clean.
The orange grove behind our room made the air smell delicious, the
pools were super clean and warm, and the white sand from the beach was
stunning (the website does not have the ability to do the resort
justice!!!) The food at the restaurant was yummy and the staff was
friendly. We purchased attraction tickets at the front desk, which
saved us time and money, and the staff was very knowledgeable about
local attractions and directions.
Everyone we have dealt with has been helpful and very nice! Initially
we were frightened /hesitant to make reservations through a non-local
contact but every fear / hesitation we had was put to rest by the
prompt and helpful correspondence we received. We were also nervous
because we had read a few unfavorable comments about the resort (even
though there were more favorable
responses than unfavorable) -we decided that the people who placed the
negative responses are CRAZY! Every part of our experience from the
initial
email to the day we left was extraordinary. Any one of the 6 adults
would be more than happy to tell anyone about our experience and how
wonderful our trip was so please do not hesitate to have people contact
us!
We have two suggestions:
1: The driving directions were a little difficult to follow (at one
point the directions from Orlando Airport stated that we should go
south but the only option was east or west) and once we turned onto 192
the directions said to look for the brick wall and then the white
letters- the only problem is we arrived after it was dark which made it
difficult to see the wall and we could only see the white letters after
we had passed the turn off. Also it might be a good idea to warn people
who are from small communities that the driving time from the airport
may be considerably longer if they arrive during rush-hour traffic (it
took us over an hour because of traffic) - All of this
was very minor but it may help people with their expectations if the
directions are more clear.
2: We are not sure how you would go about doing this but if possible,
It may be a good idea to find a way to advertise the resort in
additional/ different ways through the Internet. (Possibly advertising
under hotel listings?) Upon our initial search we did a general search
for hotel / suites or double rooms to accommodate the six of us and we
did not find anything that great. It was only after we did a search for
a room for 8 people that an advertisement for a condo came up and lead
us in your direction - I cannot tell you how many people I have talked
to that did not know about the condos that are
available-
anyhow the resort is so great I think it is a shame that more people do
not know about it!

for our weeks

The
resort was beautiful and clean and the apartment was spacious and well
appointed. The resort was close to grocery stores and restaurants (2
Publics and a new Wal-Mart only a mile away) and yet felt peaceful and
off of the beaten track.
We had a couple of cold days yet the
pool was comfortable and warm and there were even a couple of families
swimming when it was in the 50€™s.
Traveling up and down the 192 can be a bit slow so we just planned our
trips away from peak hours. We discovered a handy little short-cut,
particularly if you are visiting Animal Kingdom, by turning left on
Black Lake Road (past the Orange Lake Country Club Resort) and
following it to the end and then turning left on Sherberth Road, which
takes you almost directly to the entrance of the Animal Kingdom.
We have stayed hotels and resorts both on and off the Disney property
and I would have to say that our stay at Bahama Bay was the most
relaxing so far. We would highly recommend the resort for any one who
is travelling to Orlando or Disney and would not hesitate to recommend
it to family and friends.
We are looking forward to our next visit.

Kendall,
We had a fantastic holiday at Bahama Bay, so much so that we have bought a
place there!!!
The resort was really well maintained and we really liked the fact that
there was a security guard at the gate and that you could collect your key
from reception as opposed to having to drive to an alternative location.
The apartment was lovely and really spacious everything was in excellent
condition and the kitchen was well equipped, having kids meant that we
wanted to do a lot of cooking and that certainly wasn't a problem. The
other thing that I was impressed with was the number of towels, the amount
of times I have been somewhere and had insufficient towels or towels that
were so small my husband couldn't wrap them around him!!! However here
there was an abundance of towels for use after a shower as well as towels
to use by the pool, which meant I didn't have to pack any (more room for
shopping!!).
The resort was quite close to Disney and we were advised that Disney will
soon be opening a new entrance will cut the journey time down
significantly. We also discovered a fantastic Indian takeaway around the
corner which opened while we were there, they even delivered.
All in all we had a great holiday and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the
resort to anyone especially those with a family as it gives you all the
benefits of a Villa with all the facilities of a hotel which meant
entertaining the children was never an issue.
You handled our booking well and it was a pleasure to deal with Gary, he
always made you feel that it was no problem dealing with your questions, I
really appreciated the call to the villa to check that everything was ok,
and felt that if there had been a problem he would have dealt with it
immediately.
I look forward to speaking to you again soon.

Gary,
My wife Jean & I spent 10 days ( 2/6-2/16 ) in a 3 bedroom unit
which was well appointed and very comfortable. The resort was very
quiet and just like the website represented in the pictures.
We found it very convenient to shopping ( a publix market one mile
away) and only 3 miles from a great golf course Highland Reserves. We
found every variety of restaurant within a 15 minute drive on route 192
or another 15 minutes away up route 4 on International drive . We were
also only 6 miles from the Disney resort which we visited one afternoon.
My wife who does
not play golf really enjoyed the weight room and the lovely area in the
resort to take walks especially down near the lake which abuts the
property. We had brunch at the on site restaurant twice on Sunday and
enjoyed dinner there Superbowl night. The food was well prepared and
moderately priced.
I played golf every day and having arranged tee times with the course
in advance. As a single they were very accommodating and I had a chance
to meet some great people from all over the world. I was able to buy a
10 round pass for $500 which included the cart. The course was very
fare and interesting with large greens that had lots of undulations and
were fast. One of the highlights for me was the chance to play with a
women and her husband who had been injured in an accident and lost her
right arm. She was one of the finest golfers man or woman I have every
had the pleasure to play with. It was unbelievable and inspiring how
well she played ( she shot 38 on the front side just missing 2 birdies
on the difficult par 5's) considering she did not take up the game
until AFTER her accident.
We we blessed with great weather ( 10 days of 70-80 degree tempetures)
and hated to leave. The staff was helpful and keep the entire facility
very clean. Our experience was wonderful and the only sad part was that
we had to leave to come home to Connecticut and winter again. We would
recommend Bahama Bay to our friends and anyone looking for a nice place
convenient to everything and modestly priced.
Thanks again for everything Don Marra

Hello
Gary, We enjoyed our stay at Bahama Bay resort very much. The only
problem that we had with it was that it was not 3.5 miles from Disney
as advertised and that it was really difficult to see the sign to go to
Bahama Bay from the highway."Gary a new road
from the 192 will be in at the end of 2005 so it will be as advertised by the developer, at the
moment 6 miles as in above guest, this road will be
better sign posted , that's why I send maps out with all the reservations " The check out time was 10:00 AM and we asked if we could be 15 minutes late and the front desk was not flexible with it at
all." Gary
very unusual as guests can request late check outs"
Other that those two problems, we had a great stay. It was very
peaceful and the condo was clean, and had all the conveniences that we
needed. It was like a home away from home.

We were very impressed with everything about Bahama Bay.
We stayed in the 3 bedroom Grand Bahama and were amazed at the amount
of space we had. It really was a luxury condo so much so that we
decided to stay another 2 nights instead of going to the coast.
Although we didn't have much time to use many of the facilities as we
were in Disney till late every day, if we were going again we would
probably spend more time at Bahama Bay than going into Disney so we
could enjoy the facilities.
The pools, clubhouse and restaurant
all looked very nice and it was handy having a shop onsite to buy
essentials. Another nice thing about the resort was that it is built in
Caribbean style which makes a refreshing change from the bland design
of most of the other developments around Disney because they all look
the same.
We spent the last 3 nights of our stay in Florida at the
Wilderness Lodge hotel onsite at Disney and we didn't enjoy it half as
much as Bahama Bay as we were cramped into a small hotel bedroom, and
it was twice the price we paid for Bahama Bay.
Will definitely be back and will recommend Bahama Bay to all our friends.

time - the weather was excellent for almost all of our stay.
We really enjoyed staying at the Bahama Bay Resort.
Many thanks for the upgrade to the Gran Bahama - the apartment was just
fantastic - lots of space and all the facilities/mod cons we could have
wanted. The clubhouse and pools at the resort were good and offered a
pleasant way to relax in between days at the theme parks
- so much more peaceful than any of the resort hotels along the 192.
Overall, we'd have no hesitation whatsoever in wholeheartedly

had a fantastic holiday staying at the Bahama Bay complex. The
facilities in our apartment were wonderful, as good as if we were
at home. There were quiet secluded swimming pools as well
as a more popular pool at the clubhouse for the kids. We were
ideally placed for everything and were a convenient 20
minute drive from Disney with plenty of good restaurants on the
way. The clubhouse staff were very polite and helpful and had a good
gym and beauty parlour if you needed to spend a relaxing day away
from the theme parks. We were even able to see the Magic Kingdom
fireworks every evening from our balcony. If we were returning to this
part of Florida again we wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Hi - sorry it's taken me so long
to write back....
We thought the resort was
fabulous. It was much closer to the top end of the 192 than we had thought -
the location was perfect for us - it only took 45 mins to get to the convention
centre - colleagues travelling from the Medieval Times end of the 192 really
struggled with the traffic! When we'd finished at the convention and were back
doing the usual tourist things, it was only 20 mins or so to the beginning of
the Disney Highway"
and sloe to the I4 so you could get to any attraction quite quickly.
The apartment itself was superb - well furnished, spotlessly clean every amenity you could want - it was
a real home from home.
We ate at the restaurant a
couple of times - dinner on our last night and breakfast one morning, It was
nice if not a little too quiet!
If I had any criticism at all,
it would be that the large pool by the club house had no heating! It had broken
and wasn't due to be fixed until after we left the resort - but that can happen
at any time so it was more an inconvenience than anything and had we have
wanted accommodation with a pool closer and exclusively ours, then that's what
we would have booked - so not a complaint - more a statement of fact :-)
€œPool has a new Gas heater installed ,changed from the
old electric one and is working very well, always hot Gary€
It is our intention to book with you again but as this July we'll be bringing our family we'll be
looking for a private villa with pool (probably 4 bedrooms as a minimum).
However, as I said, we will
book with you again when there will be less of us travelling - it really was
lovely!

If you want to spend time in Orlando,
in good surroundings and excellent service then Bahama Bay
is the place for you. It may seem a little bit further than the usual tourist
areas but it is well worth the extra few minutes it takes to get there for the
quality of the resort.
I used the resort as
the base for a conference I was attending in Orlando
and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to get around the whole of the Orlando area. Down town
Disney is less than 15 mins and if you fly with Virgin it is well worth taking
advantage of the Downtown check on the day of departure, as you could drop off
you luggage and spend the rest of the day on the resort.
The apartment is really spacious with high ceilings and well
equipped with all the essentials, making it a great place for families. The
site was spotless and the staff very friendly. The bars are good and the
restaurant near the lake really good value for money. The recently created
beach next to it looks good and the fishing pier another added attraction and
makes good use of lake Davenport you can buy
bait etc at Wal-Mart.
There is a Publix supermarket less than a mile which also
has a pizza restaurant and a good Chinese takeaway alongside it plus there is a
Super Wal-Mart about two miles.Other
restaurants are easy to get too along highway 192 and I-drive is less than 30
mins if you really want to go there. Downtown Disney is easier and much quicker
to get to, as is Kissimmee.
>The Premium Outlet Mall is about 25 minutes.
Gary is excellent at providing tips and advice and don€™t be afraid to ask him any
questions before you leave I am sure if he does not have the answer he will
know somebody who will.
My only word of advice is that the turning into the site is
off highway 27 can be easily missed, if you get as far as the Publix you have

Gary : Thank you for your help during our vacation planning. Your website was very
user-friendly, and it was such a relief to know when we arrived at the Resort
that your website represented it just as it was€¦ fabulous. Because of your
assistance in finding the perfect lodging for our family€™s needs, we were able
to focus on the vacation itself, and we had a blast. Bahama Bay Resort is a
beautiful resort with all the amenities one could ask for, including pools,
fishing, grocery store, souvenir shop, game room, restaurant, and friendly
staff. The resort was conveniently located to Disney, restaurants, and stores,
which made our vacation a convenient experience. We will definitely use Bahama

most definitely look to your website and deal directly with you!

All accommodations were excellent. From the
moment we arrived until our departure, everyone was professional and
courteous. The condo was spacious and tastefully decorated with
quality furnishings; it was very "homey". From the formal
dining area to the laundry room, everything was clean
and pleasant. Even the appliances enabled us to enjoy the
necessities and comforts of home. The only improvements I would recommend would
be in the childrens play area. Everything was sort of cramped into a
small space. I would suggest enlarging that space to allow for more
physical activities for the kids (ie another hockey table or pool table,
etc.) Perhaps a sort of indoor playland or covered playground
outside would be useful in the rainy season.(The New
outside Kiddies Play area will be finished by Easter "Gary")
(It rained most of the time we were there, and the kids did become a bit
restless until we got to go to Disney.)(it is unusual
to rain as much as it did, it should be the Sunshine State!!!!"Gary)
Overall, we were more than pleased with the
accommodations. Thanks, Bahama Bay

Hi
Gary -- The complex is very nice, especially when compared to another
one I visited where a friend has a timeshare. The 3 bedroom was great.
As we discussed on the phone, when you rang to see how we were, the only
really "not so nice" part of the condo is the carpet.(i have arranged
to get this unit steam cleaned "Gary")
Also, thanks for the return visit special offer. I will contact you on our next trip to Florida!

Our family has enjoyed the vacation. We were not sure until we reached the place.
The Condos were the best, vey well equipped, and clean.
The people working at the resort were helpful.
I would surely recommend the resort to my friends.
If we visit Orlando again, we would certainly stay at BahamaBay.

Thanks, everything was fine.
Feedback, the place is lovely and perfect for families who want access to
the parks but also have the ability to take some time out and relax. We did not
cover Disney but Universal and Seaworld so it was a little too far to come back
for lunch and then return for the evening, but this would be easily fine for the
Disney parks. It was nice to have a homely base to return to after a busy day
and the space in the flat was great.
The accommodation was fine and had everything we needed. We made good use out of the
club house, particularly our kids who got some 'time-out' from Mum and Dad, the
staff were very helpful and there was a good atmosphere around the place. The
pools and beach area looked great, but we did not have the right weather to use
them - I actually bought a pair of gloves! The nearby supermarket and shops were
really convenient and we used them more than the club house shop, but the
surrounding area has everything you need. It will be great when there are tennis
courts, basketball etc(April "Gary") so that there are some outdoor activates for when the
weather is not so good, as it is such a lovely location that you really want to
be outside doing things - we played football in the road and no one minded so
really family orientated and relaxed.
Overall, the resort and accommodation made the whole trip to Orlando less
rushed and more relaxing.
Thanks again and good luck with the new project

Comments as follows Accommodation very well furnished and spacious. Staff extremely courteous
and helpful.
On site restaurant good and useful when not wanting to go out in the car again. The
self catering facilities were easy to use and of high
standard.Close to Disney and associated parks and the short cut by the back road meant we were
at the Disney Parks in 15/20 minutes.Quite a drive to Universal but the roads are good and the journey is
easy.

Just a note to tell you how much we enjoyed the stay in your apartment at Bahama Bay Resort.
The facilities on site were excellent, the staff were pleasant,
friendly and helpful, but the weather was too cold for us to use the
pools (though some people did)(POOLS ARE NOW HOTTER "Gary").
The site has a small shop, with same-day UK newspapers. A well-stocked
Publix supermarket is a mile down the road (nice to see they have
Branston pickle and Birds custard, but funny to find them in the
'ethnic' section).
A mile up the road and you are on the 192 with quick access to Disney, the attractions and shopping.
The apartment was great (my wife fell in love with it), spacious and
well-equipped with a range of good quality equipment (though I think
you need a pilot's licence to operate the cooker). A huge bathroom -
pity we couldn't bring it home with us.
We have often been to Orlando at this time of year, and the weather can
be strange. Short days, with cloudless skies and the midday temperature
hitting the 70s can be bitterly cold when the sun goes down - warnings
of overnight freezing temperatures were issued for citrus growing areas
while we were there. So you may not want to be out all day shopping or
at the attractions, but most hotels are geared to exactly that.
The advantage we found with the apartment was that it was a pleasant
comfortable home where you could spend the whole day if you wanted,
with resort facilities, including the restaurant, only a few steps
away, and a short ride to the main attractions.
We had a great week, and we are planning to come again next year, but for two weeks,
Regards Ian

accommodations were great. The condo was brand new, clean and very well
stocked. We had all the room that we needed and the washer and dryer definitely

convenient to grocery stores, restaurants, even a pizza delivery place. I have
recommended it to my friends and would most definitely stay there when we take

We got back from
Bahama Bay on the 02/12/04 after a three week holiday there. What can we say!
It was fantastic. The Condo was amazing, there was so much space and very clean
almost new. We had 6 in our party 2 adults 2 teenagers and 2 younger children 9,
10 the Gran Bahama was perfect for us all no problems with over-crowding or
anything that could spoil our enjoyment. The Welcome pack on arrival was very
thoughtful of the owner. The quality of the furniture fitting and fixtures were
of a very high standard and in fact the website does not do it justice. The
staff were very helpful, even one of the major owners of Bahama Bay went out of
his way to phone a relative in another part of Florida that we were considering
travelling to, so as to give us an up to the minute weather report to ensure
that we wouldn't go all the way to the destination if it was tipping down with
rain. The Bar attendant from Poinciana, Nicki, and the Spa manageress were
exceptionally helpful. Their help ranged from looking after the way we looked
in(the spa), hair cuts, to advice on travel, where to shop, Disney and where to
eat out. Because we enjoyed ourselves immensely and because our accomodation was
of the highest standard we feel it only right to take some time and offer
feedback on our holiday experience.
Thank you Garry for your genuine attitude in the way that you have dealt

Hi Gary,
Just wanted to say Thank you so much for letting us stay in your Grand
Bahama apartment, it was really lovely. When you walked in, it definitely had
that WOW factor!! It was very clean, big and spacious and the view was
fantastic!! We have a 3 year old boy who doesn't sit still so having such a big
apartment was great as he had lots of room to play, we wasn't all cooped up in
one room which is what we would have had if we had gone to a hotel. Thank you
for the welcome pack we really appreciated it, the food and drink you provided
was spot on, a very nice gesture after a long flight. The complex was really
lovely, even though there was still some building work going on it wasn't a
problem. I'm looking forward to it being finished especially the restaurant and
beach, as it would be lovely to be able to relax on the beach in the hot Florida
sun and not have to drive out for something to eat. I would definitely go back
to Bahama Bay and definitely recommend it to anyone who was thinking about a
holiday in Florida, it was perfect, we loved it so much we've looked in to
buying an apartment for ourselves!!!!! Thank you again........... Julie, Andy

by far preferred your resort. I might add that with the development work that we
saw going on at Bahama Bay, the Kiddies swimming pool will soon be ready for use
thus solving this 1 minor short fall. The accommodations were excellent and very
rooming, the grounds are very nice and very well maintained and the staff @

Just returned from two weeks in Orlando. It was my 13th visit and I
have to say that the Bahama Bay Resort was by far the best place we
have stayed.
The appartment we stayed in was one of the two bedroom ones and it was
superb and very spacious. When you stay in one of these appartments you
want for nothing.
The staff at the resort were very polite and helpful and the resort
itself is immaculately kept, in fact it was so good that we didn't use
the Universal Park tickets as we were so relaxed in this place.
Anyway as the tickets never expire we intend to book again for next year but this time intend to stay for three weeks.
If you are looking for the best place to stay intown then this is it.

"First impressions on arrival after a long flight
were extremely good. We opened the door to a large, clean, comfortable and well
equipped home from home - quite a relief as you are never sure what to expect
when booking direct. Your call the next morning to make sure everything was OK
was a nice touch and the welcome pack of food was really appreciated.
The advantage of staying in an apartment rather than a
hotel is you get more space for your money - you need enough room for everyone
to relax after a hard day at the theme parks (and during our enforced stay
indoors because of hurricane Charley).
The downside is that you stay further away from the major
attractions but at between 20-30 minutes door to door it wasn€™t an issue for
us. Your tips on back roads into/out of Disney saved a lot of time - especially
when the parks close at night and everyone is directed towards the 192 and I4.
I even used the Disney road network to avoid a large jam on the I4 after a trip
to Universal Studios.
We had a fantastic holiday in Orlando with excellent accommodation at the Bahama Bay - I€™d definitely stay
here again.€(Already Booked for next year "Gary")

Can only say how pleased we were that we booked to stay at Bahama Bay.
The appartment was superb-spacious, clean, well-equiped, with a very
welcome 'welcome pack' on arival.
The resort was equally good, and when fully finished will be spectactular. Pool area fantastic.
Good location for Disney: not bad for Universal though morning traffic on the 192 can be awful - leave early for the parks!
Overall, would recomend to anyone. Next time in Florida, will certainly use Bahama Bay again.

The Welcome Pack was much appreciated.
We had a great time despite Hurricane Charley which hit on the day
after arrival. Luckily we got away with only high winds and rain where
as up by the Walmart on the 192 they got hit and had no power for a few
days, Diner Signs and Trees down everywhere (Obviously by the time we
got home the story has got somewhat bigger of how we survived Hurricane
Charley and we all have the T Shirt to prove it). In fact some people
got evacuated and relocated to Bahama Bay and they could not believe
their luck.
The resort and accommodation is excellent and exceeded our
expectations, even though the resourt is not complete. When the entire
place is finished it will be something else. The staff were more than
helpful on arrival and whilst at the resort, not that we needed them.
They did keep us very well informed on Hurricane Charley's progress and
advised us when not to venture too far.
The Pool by our apartment was perfect after a day at the theme parks or
even on a rest day. It was never too busy and there was none of the
'Putting Towels on the Sun Beds' that you get on a European Holiday.
There was enough to go round. The Pool at the Club House was also ideal
espacially with the Poolside Bar. We also made good use of the Internet
facilities at the Club House.
The location was ideal about 20 min from Disney (Dependant on the 192) and 30 min from Universal.
Thank you for allowing us to stay at your Apartment. I hope we left everything to your satisfaction.
The only thing I could suggest is a 'User Guide / Manual' for the
Apartment and the Resort i.e. Laundry arrangements (which the Club
House explained), rubbish and using the facilities etc. If there was
one in the Apartment I apologise but we never found it.
Thanks again

I can honestly
say that it far exceeded all of our expectations in every way, the
apartments were of a superior quality than any other we had visited in
the past & the layout of the Grand Bahama apartment
was spacious & had everything we could possibly want for.
The
Bahama Bay Resort itself
was in a quiet location & was well thought out with a beautiful
landscaping maintained to a very high quality as were all the
facilities within
the resort both around the clubhouse, pool & entire resort area the
cleanliness was of the highest standards.
The staff were courteous, helpful & very efficient at dealing with
any requests or questions we
raised & went out of their way to give a high level of service at
all
levels making both the adults & the children in our party feel very
much at
home while in unfamiliar surroundings.
I can only reiterate that
the Bahama Bay Resort & it's staff helped to make this the best vacation

First I must say that I use Trip Advisor for all of my trips - I had chosen other places and then cancelled
when I read reviews from Trip Advisor. Planning this trip and reading some of
the reviews for the Bahama Bay had me a little
worried. However, I always look to see if there are more bad than good reviews
and I use that to make my decision. The Bahama Bay was Excellent - Outstanding - I was in one of the older 3 bdrm units - it was
clean, plenty of towels, sheets, a kitchen fully supplied with all utensils -
all you need to do is buy the food. It was pleasingly comfortable. It's about
15 min from Disney 20 min to Seaworld and 25 min to Universal. Hey it's not International Drive
- (which to say the least to me was a nightmare to much traffic). If you are
looking for a serene place after a hectic day at the parks then Bahama Bay
is the place to stay. The pools were heated and clean and the facility is
beautiful the service was outstanding. We happened to be in Orlando the week of
Hurricane Charley - our unit did not loose power and we survived winds up to 80
mph. Overall if I ever went back to Orlando I would stay at the Bahama Bay in

Gary, I'm happy to recommend you and
the Bahama Bay resort to other visitors to the Orlando area. We enjoyed our
spacious well-appointed quarters and pool-view patios. The three-bedroom
apartment was a perfect base of operations and peaceful retreat for our
family, not to mention a GREAT VALUE considering the facilities. We felt lucky
to be so close to the action, but away from the crowds. The nicely-heated
swimming pool and hot tub were just a few steps from our door and very much
appreciated as a grand finale to the hectic days at the attractions in town. We
even managed to view a segment of the evening fireworks from Epcot from the
pool!. Also we liked the conveniently-located shopping for food items, as we
utilized our well-equipped kitchen fully to avoid high priced food at the theme
parks. I liked the reception we received at the front desk, with lots of
helpful advice and maps for getting around the area. Although not far from the
theme parks, newcomers can easily get disoriented without these personalized
touches from the staff at Bahama Bay. I certainly hope we can return. It would
have been nice to try out the restaurant, bar, and sauna at the clubhouse, but
we didn't give ourselves the extra time this trip! This new complex is bound to
get even prettier with time, as the lush landscaping matures and the
lake front becomes more accessible.
I will definitely keep your contact
